From Surviving to Loving Fully

Hi, I’m Joanne, a Relationship Coach who has experienced painful, toxic relationships and found her way to peace, clarity, and love.

My journey didn’t begin in safety.
As a child, I experienced abuse, and no one in my family stopped. I learned to feel invisible, to distrust my instincts, and to survive by giving far more than I received. Even though I had loving parents, I became the black sheep in some ways—the one who never quite felt enough. I grew up constantly comparing myself to others and living outside my body, disconnected from my needs.

Later, I carried those wounds into my adult relationships. I gave and gave, trying to “fix” others while abandoning myself. I lost track of what I deserved. I stayed in unhealthy dynamics for far too long—confused, hopeful, and always trying harder.

One of the most defining moments of my life came after a near-death experience.
I literally flatlined for four minutes.

And in that space between breaths, I heard a message so clear:
"It’s not your time. You have service to do."

When I came back, I knew something had changed.

I had been given a gift—an ability to feel deeply into people’s hearts, to see their beauty beneath the pain, and to walk beside them as they find their way home to themselves.

That began my healing and my purpose.

And while it hasn’t been easy, I now stand on the other side of what once felt impossible.

After four marriages that didn’t honor who I was, I am now joyfully married to Dave for thirteen years—the love of my life.

Our relationship is the kind I used to dream about but never truly believed I could have.
Now I know: it’s not only possible, it’s real.
